Daybook and scrapbook, 1825 Feb.-1830 Dec., of New York City engraver Samuel Maverick, recording daily payments and monthly accounts for individual orders for printed, engraved and embossed bills, cards, product labels, maps, diplomas, illustrations, and miscellaneous items of engraved commercial ephemera. Entries record the nature of the job, customers name, and the fee charged for the work, with occasional notes recording the deaths of family members. Approximately half of the pages of accounts are covered by newspaper clippings of poems, illustrations, humor pieces, etc.
